Your keyboard, witnessed.

The Authmarks desktop app records the one thing no document tool can see: your physical keystrokes. Free to download, free to use — sign in with your Authmarks account and your writing earns a record that can defend itself.

Why a desktop app

Editors can show what changed. Only the operating system can witness who typed it. The app builds a hash-chained receipt of every real keypress — and flags injected, synthetic input for what it is.

Mode 1

Witness

Runs beside whatever you write in — Google Docs in its own window, Word, anything. It witnesses your physical keystrokes at the operating-system level and builds a tamper-evident receipt chain of the typing itself.

Mode 2

Editor

Authmarks' own writing room. Every keystroke on the page is matched to the physical key that produced it within 80 milliseconds — the strongest single-machine record we make.

Always

Your call

Nothing records until you sign in, tick consent, and press Start. Pause or stop any time. Password fields end recording outright — they are never captured.

The honest print

  • Free to download and use. There is no licence fee for the desktop app; recording requires a free Authmarks sign-in so the record belongs to you.
  • Not open source — the app is free to use, not free to copy. Provisional patent protection applies.
  • Recording is opt-in per session, visible at all times in the tray, and never touches password fields.
  • Downloads are published only on this page. Anything else is not ours.
